Thanks to my mother and grandmother I have always loved nice clothes, shoes and accessories, but after college paying for them was difficult. I became obsessed with finding pre-loved versions of exaclty what I wanted to save money. So, for my college graduation gift, I asked for a gently used Balenciaga City Bag. For my wedding dress, I sought out a company that sells sample size and previously worn gowns. The past few years i realized that what I am constantly in search of is a handbag to use for a girls trip, a date or a wedding, and there might be others out there looking for the same. I brought that idea to my mother and mother-in-law and here we are!

My first handbag was a red patent pillbox purse that my mother gave me when I was four. I loved the shine, and the gentle wear means it was carried, but when I was dressed up, not for the sandbox. My mother’s style mantra was “Beauty before comfort,” and she always kept her prettiest things nicely stored in dust bags so they could be used over and over and maintain their luster. That has stayed with me, and the concept of preserving our treasures is right in line with our vision here of sustainable luxury. My love of handbags has always been there, but grew exponentially when a dear friend once urged me, “Why don’t you splurge on a really good bag?” And the rest is history!

Born and raised Hispanic, I am a wife, a mother to two wonderful children and grandmother of twin boys. I helped my mother operate two different Mexican restaurants back in the day, my eight aunts and uncles all owned their own business, and my husband and I have operated our own businesses over the years.
